Flow control partner spotlight: PMS valveTec
We are excited to share our second partner spotlight story with you. Meet PMS valveTec from Austria. We've done successful cooperation with PMS already for 20 years.
Big size valves solve big size challenges
Neles Omega™ globe valves are developed and manufactured for demanding applications where noise or cavitation need to be eliminated. Available in sizes up to 36" for straight body type and 48” for angle body type, typical applications include oil and gas production, petrochemicals, power plants, pulp and paper, water production and LNG.
Industries are calling for proven low emission valves
The valve industry is tackling modern day demands with the same tenacity as it started with in the 1980s, when pioneering work in emission management and reduction began, especially in the oil and gas industry. This commitment is particularly relevant as research indicates valves have traditionally contributed up to 60% of the emissions in a running plant.
Next-level reliability: mission-critical flow control solutions from Valmet
Valmet’s vast scope of expertise continues to grow. With a history in flow control dating back to the 1950s, it has long earned its spurs in sectors such as pulp and paper, bioproducts, oil and gas refining, mining and metals processing, chemicals and various other process industries. And coming up to date, Valmet is now meeting the needs of the energy transition.
Solutions to severe service control valves
Juha Relander, Valmet Finland, outlines the importance of selecting the most appropriate severe service control valves.
Ball valves – Ideal control valve solution for delayed coking
Using ball valves for flow control allows a delayed-coker unit to continuously run at full capacity, making them the ideal control valve for these high solid applications. In a delayed-coker unit, ball valves are proven to be more reliable than globe and eccentric plug valves.
Managing wear in severe services
Wear in valves is surely an important concern for plant owners and operators. Eroded valve internals can have a long-term effect on the functioning and profitability of process facilities. Materials such as ceramic reinforced metals can be a good solution to increase component lifetimes in industries such as oil and gas, says Valmet’s Mr Jussi Hellman.
Respectful work environment is rooted in our culture
Diogo Cavani from Sorocaba site in Brazil is responsible for projects business within South and Central America in Valmet’s Flow Control Business Line. We discussed with Diogo about his work career so far and what he thinks of Valmet’s culture.
Supporting responsible lithium production through reliable flow control and automation
Sibanye‑Stillwater’s Keliber lithium project benefits from solutions that combine reliable flow control and automation with strong regional service support. Valmet technologies enhance operational stability, enable predictive maintenance, and help ensure high availability across critical stages of lithium production, providing added assurance for long‑term process continuity.
Serving variety of industries with our modular butterfly valve
The benefits of forming a butterfly valve platform became clear a few years ago when reviewing our existing, proven butterfly valve ranges.
