Cost effective dilution control upgrade for hydraulic headboxes

Valmet's dilution control up grade, Valmet Dilution Retrofit*, is designed for hydraulic headboxes. It provides a cost-effective way to upgrade an existing slice lip-controlled headbox to a dilution-controlled one during an extremely short shutdown.

Chipping

Valmet has supplied more than 2000 heavy duty chippers to date, which is half of the entire number of disc chippers for the fiber processing industry worldwide. This has given us a valuable insight into chipper durability in tough conditions. Our wide experience has been utilized in the development of the chippers we have today. Valmet can offer, and have long experience of, both gravity feed and horizontal feed type of chippers.

Chip screening

A screening stage is often necessary to achieve the uniform chip size demanded in different processes. Valmet’s concept for chip screening includes several screening options, all designed for effective removal of oversize and fine fractions from the chip flow.

Biomass drying

Dried biomass, such as bark, forest residue, sawdust and bagasse can be utilized as a valuable energy source in gasification processes, pelletizing and power boilers.

Refining

Optimal blowline refining, hot stock refining, deshive refining and reject refining are key factors to achieve successful end products. Valmet chooses the refiners that are best suited for each application and customer.
