Valmet DNA Automation system provides a unified platform for the operation and monitoring of all plant equipment and processes. Turbine controllers are typically operated via the Valmet DNA User Interface. If the turbine is supplied with its own control system, Valmet DNA integrates seamlessly through communication links.
The system coordinates the control of gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and steam turbine generators (STGs) during both normal operation and disturbances.
Plant-wide control is managed through automatic generation control (AGC), which regulates plant load based on operator-defined setpoints or signals from a remote dispatcher.
