Valmet DNAe wins Automation Award for its Innovation

Valmet has been honored with the 2025 Automation Award from the Finnish Society of Automation for its Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System (DCS). This award recognizes the significant innovation and industry leadership demonstrated by the development and launch of Valmet DNAe.
Launched in April 2024, Valmet DNAe marks a major advancement in process automation. It is the world's first fully web-based DCS, built with native cybersecurity compliance according to the ISASecure System Security Assurance (SSA) certificate. This next-generation system provides the secure IT/OT convergence essential for the increasingly autonomous industrial operations of the future. Designed with a user-centric philosophy, Valmet DNAe empowers people to manage larger process areas more effectively and collaboratively across the entire organization.
More than just a DCS, Valmet DNAe redefines automation by integrating optimization and asset performance management solutions onto the same unified platform, maximizing operational efficiency and reliability for customers.
"The development and successful launch of the innovative Valmet DNAe system firmly positions Finland and Valmet at the global forefront of automation technology," stated Dr. Olli Ventä from the awarding committee at the Finnish Society of Automation. “This achievement showcases how long-term, determined development work can culminate in a truly competitive and world-leading product.”
