Flow control partner spotlight: Grønbech
Channel partners provide a valuable network to support our flow control customers all over the world. Our Valmet channel partner community has ~300 certified members in over 65 countries, either complementing our presence or then being the sole representatives for our different flow control product brands in the market. In this article, we interviewed Grønbech, our certified partner in Denmark.

Could you describe your company in few sentences? (History, culture etc.)
Grønbech has been driving progress since 1828. With nearly 200 years of experience and a strong tradition of innovation, we provide sustainable solutions within energy, water & wastewater, industry, and steel & metal. Our strength lies in listening to our customers and guiding them through complex technical challenges, ensuring reliable and efficient results.
Can you tell us briefly about your history of cooperation with Valmet?
The partnership was originally established through Necon, which Grønbech later acquired. 
As a result, the long-standing relationship and expertise were carried on within Grønbech and our most experienced Valmet expert has been working with Valmet on a daily basis for the past 25 years.
Can you give us a good example of one of your latest customer success cases?
One of our recent success stories is with a customer in the maritime fuel systems industry, who has experienced rapid growth over the past four years, growing from modest annual orders to a double-digit million turnover. During this journey, Grønbech has been able to keep pace with their increasing needs and maintain the role of trusted advisor on valve solutions. We value the long-term relationship and the opportunity to support them as their business evolves.
What was the original challenge they had? Why did they end up choosing Valmet’s flow control solutions?
The original challenge was to find a supplier who could deliver both the right quality and the necessary flexibility. Working together, Grønbech and Valmet were able to provide the optimal solution by listening closely to the customer’s requirements and meeting the strict demands related to marine certifications.
What are the results? How did the solutions help them?
The customer is very satisfied with the solutions, with virtually no claims. With multiple locations in Denmark, Grønbech invested in the cooperation by ensuring in a larger stock locally, so we can serve the client fast, effective and ensure a high delivery performance. The cooperation has been smooth, and the solutions are continuously expanded in line with the customer’s business growth.
How would you describe the collaboration between you and Valmet?
The collaboration between Grønbech and Valmet is strong, particularly since we established closer contacts in Sweden. What makes the partnership work so well is that both companies share the same strengths: deep product knowledge, the ability to listen, and the flexibility to address customer challenges. Instead of simply selling products, we approach customer needs in the same way — focusing on solutions that truly fit.
