Three Valmet tissue lines launched at the same day at Yusen Gansu
On May 10, 2025, three new Valmet IntelliTissue 1600 production lines (TM 2, TM 3, TM 4) were successfully launched at Yusen's base in Chongxin County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. The start-up signifies the completion of the first phase of Yusen's production project of 360,000 tons of tissue paper, further expanding Yusen Group's influence in the tissue paper market and significantly contributing to the development of the tissue product industry in north-west China. Valmet has previously installed six Valmet IntelliTissue lines at the company’s Tai’an mill in Liaoning.
The collaboration with Valmet has been very well. The three new lines were smoothly started on the same day, within just six hours. This achievement highlights the perfect performance and stability of Valmet's machinery. The lines will produce 11.5-gram ultra-low basis weight tissue paper at high speeds, as well as regular basis weight tissue paper with low energy usage. We are confident that it will strengthen Yusen's regional brand advantage and product coverage, helping us realize our vision of “Let quality permeate life” and providing consumers with high-quality, cost-effective household tissue products."

Supply Technical Information
Valmet's IntelliTissue lines have a width of 3,500 mm, a design speed of 1,650 m/min, and an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes per machine. The machines will produce quality tissue paper with a basis weight range of 10-25 g/m². The scope of supply mainly includes IntelliJet V hydraulic headbox, IntelliFormer crescent former, IntelliPress press section, steel Yankee dryer with IntelliCap energy saving hood, IntelliReel as well as mechanical drive systems, steam and condensate systems, hydraulic and lubrication systems, and auxiliary systems. Additionally, Valmet provides design, installation, and start-up guidance services.
