Bales positioning also plays a decisive role in the precision of the folding process and the resulting final appearance of the bale. The high accuracy of bale positioning offered by the Wrapper folder ensures consistently precise folding.

Efficient maintenance

The machine is designed for easy and rapid maintenance and service, as the service points can be accessed from floor level. Efficient maintenance is a key factor in the machine’s excellent and well-documented record for high availability. Electric drives improve the working environment by eliminating the need for oil handling, reducing leakages and spills, and decreasing the fire load in the facility. In addition, noise levels are considerably lower.

Based on a design optimized for infinite fatigue lifetime of moving parts, the Wrapper folder has proved to be a robust and reliable solution, offering consistently high productivity in baling lines over a long service life.

Line integration: Baling/Wet lap

The Wrapper folder integrates seamlessly into baling lines as it has the same control system as other Valmet Baling machines. It can also be used in wet lap baling lines.

The hydraulic Wrapper Folder is the established design behind well over one hundred baling lines around the world. It produces smart, uniform finished bales, with high bale-positioning accuracy for consistently precise folding, service points accessible from floor level for rapid

The electric Wrapper Folder replaces hydraulics with electric drives. Most movements are made with electric motors, allowing independent movement of the folding arms and a more precise, stable folding process. The result is smoother operation, a better working environment and up to 15% lower energy demand compared to a hydraulic version. It shares the same main footprint as the hydraulic machine, so it suits both new baling lines and upgrades of existing ones.
