Keep your press in peak condition. A proactive maintenance strategy helps keep your ViscoNip press performing reliably year after year. Valmet's lifecycle approach combines condition assessments, preventive maintenance, planned overhauls, and expert support to help you make informed maintenance decisions and avoid unexpected failures.

Basic overhaul is the main service for the ViscoNip press

Leaking cylinders, worn seals and ageing hoses gradually reduce nip load, disturb the load profile and shorten belt lifetime. The basic overhaul restores full performance, which is why it's the main service in the maintenance plan, recommended in year 4 and year 8.

Included: new belt stretch cylinders and head movement testing, bearing house service with new seals, new O-rings and lip seals in the rotating heads, replacement of all internal hydraulic hoses, protective bellows, plus nip measurement and alignment.

Duration: about 48 hours — four 12-hour shifts or two days around the clock — with remote Valmet Performance Center support before and after to secure a smooth start-up

Condition Test for the press
